Struers is the world's leading manufacturer of equipment and consumables for materialographic surface preparation of solid materials. It has affiliates in 19 countries, qualified service personnel, experienced metallographers and a worldwide network of dealers. Established in 1875, the company has specialised in developing, manufacturing and distributing materialographic preparation solutions since 1943.
This includes equipment and consumables for cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, etching, hardness testers and microscopy. To serve all the market's and customers' needs, Struers also offers microscopy and imaging systems for evaluating and analysing specimens. Struers and dhs first joined forces in the '90s in a successful partnership. After a brief interruption, they revived and intensified their relationship in 2008.
For this new (old) distribution partner, dhs has developed a special OEM version of the dhs Image Data Base that Struers is now distributing as structure base professional. It offers several special features and customisations that address the specific requirements of the materialography market.
The Struers affiliate in Willich (D), responsible for the Central European market, worked with us to prepare the official roll-out. Thanks to these efforts, dhs products are now on offer in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.
