This module analyzes the microstructure of cast iron. Using automatic image analysis algorithms and most important national standards (such as EN ISO 945) the program evaluates graphite size, form and distribution. The module also ships with measurement parameters that have not been explicitly defined in the standard, but have become an integral part of the analysis process. They include: ferrite / perlite characterization of etched specimens, measurement of graphite content, calculation of nodularity and number of graphite particles (in absolute terms and per unit of area).
Cast Iron Analysis
The appraisement of the structural conditions is done in the dhs module Cast Iron Analysis according to international standards (EN ISO 945 and ASTM-A247).
In addition to the "Standard" version, there is also an "Advanced" edition. It offers an innovative, adaptive distribution classifier and a tool for determining flake size distribution.
