General information on data protection

The protection of your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy explains which data we process when you visit our website, for what purpose and on what legal basis, and which rights you have. You can generally use our website without providing personal data. Please note that data transmission over the internet may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Alternatively, you can always reach us by phone. In case of doubt, the German version of this privacy policy prevails.

2. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by Webflow, Inc., 398 11th Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. When you access the website, technically necessary data is processed automatically, in particular IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, referrer URL, and browser and operating system. This processing ensures the secure and stable provision of the website and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Webflow. As data may be transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Cookies and consent management (CCM19)

We use technically necessary cookies and – only with your consent – cookies and similar technologies for analytics and marketing. To manage your consent, we use the consent tool CCM19 by Papoo Software & Media GmbH, Bonn, Germany. Your consent decision and technical data (e.g. shortened IP address, time) are stored to provide proof of consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, Section 25 TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your settings at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

4. Contacting us by email, phone or contact form

If you contact us by email, phone or via our contact forms, we process your details (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, message) to handle your request. Data sent via forms is processed by Webflow and forwarded to us; we store it in our CRM system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Newsletter (Quality Update)

You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website. For this, we need your email address. Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure: you receive an email with a confirmation link, and we only add you to the mailing list after you confirm. We store the time of subscription and confirmation to be able to prove your consent. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The sign-up form and newsletter delivery are handled via SuperOffice Marketing by SuperOffice AS, Wergelandsveien 27, 0167 Oslo, Norway. Norway is a member of the European Economic Area. We have concluded a data processing agreement with SuperOffice. You can withdraw your consent at any time, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by email to us.

6. Leadinfo

With your consent, we use the Leadinfo service of Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Leadinfo identifies visits by companies based on their IP address and shows us publicly available company information such as company name and address. For this purpose, Leadinfo sets cookies to analyse usage behaviour. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). 7. LinkedIn Insight Tag

With your consent, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. It provides us with statistical, non-personal reports on the use of our website and allows us to measure and better target advertising on LinkedIn. Data may be transferred to LinkedIn Corporation in the USA; the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. 8. External program libraries (jsDelivr)

For certain website functions (e.g. the newsletter window), we load a program library via the jsDelivr content delivery network. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to the network operator. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

9. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. The data is then deleted or blocked. We store newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

10. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, please contact us or our data protection officer.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Wiesbaden, Germany.

11. Disclosure of data

We do not sell personal data. Data is only disclosed to third parties within the scope of the service providers named in this policy, if you have given your consent, or if we are legally obliged to do so. Where data is transferred to countries outside the EU or EEA, this is described for the respective service.

12. Automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
